Vision1 sunglasses and goggles are a medium to spread a message that you are passionate about. So when we first met Marije Kruis from Spot the Dot to discuss a possible collaboration for the winter edition of her melanoma awareness campaign “Faster Than Skincancer” we wanted to contribute right away.
The outcome are beautiful goggles with the Faster Than Skincancer arrows on the lens and the campaign slogan on the rubber band. Faster than Skincancer started in June 2020, in order to raise awareness about the importance of protecting your skin from UV rays while doing sports. In winter 2021 several athletes make a point that skin protection is as essential in winter as it is in summer.
Especially in snow, eyes need protection as well and so we thought that goggles are a perfect opportunity to cooperate.
Skin cancer is meanwhile in the top 3 of the most common cancer types amongst young adults. Many people don’t take measures to prevent skin cancer and don’t check changes on their skin, while early detection can be crucial.
No matter if it’s summer or winter, all year round together with Spot the Dot we aim to bring the number of newly diagnosed skin cancer patients down and when prevention has failed, we aim for early detection by encouraging you to:
The Vision1 x Faster Than Skincancer goggles are the perfect tool to start that conversation. Whenever you wear them, your friends will automatically ask you about the campaign right away and you can inform them on how to protect their skin.
Faster than Skincancer x Vision1 Goggles are now available in our online store: Faster Than Skincancer Goggles. All proceeds will be donated to Spot the Dot / Faster than Skincancer.
As said above, the Faster Than Skincancer winter edition will unfold more and more in the coming weeks. Make sure to regularly check the campaign website at: www.fasterthanskincancer.org or to never miss a beat, best follow the campaign on Instagram @spotthedot or @fasterthanskincancer. A couple of exciting people will rock our collaboration statement goggles in order to raise awareness for skincancer.
