Our First Project in China: Quality Fan Sunglasses for Beijing Football Club

We are humble to announce that we became the official premium quality fan sunglasses partner for China’s oldest soccer club: Beijing Sinobo Guoan F. C. 

Getting the deal was about one very important key factor: Quality. Chinese fans love European & American brands as they trust them as high quality products. While producing in Italy and having premium quality products, our partner for that project coached us to more perfection: From the very detailed lens design, to the packaging with a golden screen print we had to use all our knowledge and craftsmanship to meet our customer’s expectations. 

The hard work paid off as the feedback we got from Beijing was incredible. Yu Yang & Zhang Yuning, the two stars of Beijing FC loved the sunglasses from first sight and  immediately agreed to model and promoting them among fans. In terms of popularity, both of them are as popular as Christiano Ronaldo or David Beckham in the Western World. 

About Soccer Fans in China 

237 million Chinese say that football is their favorite sport and market research suggests that China has a fan potential of about 308 million soccer fans. (How football fans tick in China, Ispo.com, Jun. 2018).  Chinese fans love to follow international soccer players and if a particular player changes club e.g. in Europe, the receiving club normally has a spike of Social Media Fans from China as well as the fan gear sales go up. (CNBC, Jan. 2019).  

Even though Beijing F.C. has about 20,000 annual pass holders and their home games are attended by an average of 40,0000 people, they want to increase their fan base with exactly that strategy: Bring in soccer players from abroad that have a large following, and produce premium quality fan gear.
We are happy to be part among their selection of gear and are excited that fans are now able to show their Beijing F.C. pride right where everyone sees it:  In the middle of their faces. As always with Vision1 sunglasses, the spectacles wearer has a clear see through to never miss a goal.

Not only Beijing’s players loved our sunglasses, also the national TV commentator loved it and suddenly presented it during a show that is normally introduces new players. Have a look: 

The show was watched by about 6,000 people, all ready to get their new favorite fan item. 

We are super thrilled to have landed our first deal in China and are honored to work with such a traditional club such as Beijing Sinobo Guoan F.C..
